Why do I love music?
Why do I love music? Why not?! There are hundreds of reasons to love music. It helps me escape from reality, it makes me be more creative by expressing my emotions and thoughts in a different way and helps me calm myself whenever I am in my “not-so-good” mood. Yes, there are a lot and let me share you some of my experiences why I started to fall in love with music.

This shot was taken when we competed for the Voice of Acquire in 2016.

I started to love music since I was a kid. Back then, my sister and I listened to Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, M2M and some typical 90’s music. We used to dance to the beat and sing along with the song. It was one of our “bonding time” every afternoon. I remember we also collected cassette tapes of these artists and from these artists, we transitioned to Matchbox 20, Vertical Horizon, other alternative rock bands until we met LINKIN PARK. Oh, Link Park! My favorite band! I never thought it would be this nostalgic! 😀 I’m actually smiling now!

I think that was when my sister got interested to play the guitar. She bought one but she didn’t push it through. In the end, I was the one who learned it and until now I am still playing it. It gives me a different kind of satisfaction especially when I am able to copy the melody of a song I love. It gives me an extreme kind of hype whenever I listen to it as if as though I am the one who’s really singing it at the stage in front of the crowd! Like what I mentioned earlier, it helps me escape from reality because it makes me feel like the crowd is shouting my name and saying “MORE! MORE!”. (LOL) Funny right?! Thanks to music, it makes me happy!
I also met some people who love music. We see how fascinating it is how music can get people connected without plenty of words to say. It has been a very firm way of keeping people together. It’s just so fun being with the people with the same interest. It captivates my heart every time the sound of our instruments goes together. Breathtaking!

How about you? I am sure we all have that one interest which brings us on cloud nine! Do you have the same interest as mine? Do you also smile and laugh while you are thinking about it like you are in a budding romance? Surreal right?! But if yes, you are not alone! Well, I guess that’s lovely and NORMAL because these things are what make us blissful and if we are happy, that’s when we are able to think properly and handle things with grace. Do you agree with me? I hope you do! High Five!
